ECS Protector Wet SMART Vent

The ECS Protector Wet SMART Vent (model PSV-W) provides automatic controlled venting of trapped air and other gases from wet pipe fire sprinkler systems. This model includes a vent assembly and a control panel. The device can be used to vent trapped air from wet pipe fire sprinkler system piping and it can also be used in the Wet Pipe Nitrogen Inerting (WPNI) process. The ECS Protector Wet SMART Vent Kit (model PSV-WN) include a nitrogen injection port to be installed at the sprinkler riser.

Installation Notes

  • Install vent assembly remotely on system and nitrogen injection port at riser above system control valve
  • If a location for the vent isn’t provided on project design documents, vent can be installed at an accessible remote high point on the system 
  • Mount control panel on wall or column adjacent to vent
  • Installing contractor must wire vent assembly to control panel in protected assembly or conduit (not included)
  • Do NOT install in location downstream of water trap
